Phase 1 — Digestion, Motility & Drainage

Chelated and whole-food trace minerals

Detoxification is a chain of enzymatic reactions, and nearly every one requires a mineral cofactor. Mineral Restore supplies a balanced base of mineral chelates and whole-food trace minerals — with the antioxidant enzymes SOD and catalase, and a small amount of Betaine HCl, because minerals need stomach acid to absorb.

Phase 1 — Digestion, Motility & Drainage

Minerals underpin the whole of Phase 1 — digestion, motility, and drainage all depend on them. Nutritional deficiencies including magnesium, copper, zinc, niacin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and vitamins C and E can result in impaired liver function. Minerals are the rate-limiting cofactors: when mineral status is low, conjugation and antioxidant pathways run slowly regardless of how many supportive nutrients are layered on top.

Ingredient & dose
Why it's here
Magnesium
Citrate, glycinate and gluconate

Supplied in three chelated forms. Magnesium is a required cofactor across hundreds of enzymatic reactions, including those supporting detoxification and bowel motility — and motility is a Phase 1 prerequisite in its own right.

Zinc & Copper
Citrate, gluconate forms

Copper and zinc are both structural components and participating cofactors of copper/zinc superoxide dismutase, which neutralizes the superoxide radicals formed as P450 enzymes break down toxins. Zinc also functions as a defensive component protecting cell membranes from oxidation.

Selenium & Molybdenum
From vegetable culture

Selenium intake correlates to the activity of the glutathione peroxidases. Molybdenum is a component of the liver enzyme sulfite oxidase and a cofactor for aldehyde oxidase — and a diet high in refined or processed foods minimizes molybdenum intake.

Calcium, Potassium & Iodine
Citrate, chloride, gluconate, kelp

Foundational minerals supporting structural, electrolyte, and thyroid function. Iodine is supplied from kelp rather than as an isolated salt.

Iron
Ferrous gluconate

Supplied in chelated gluconate form. Iron is required for oxygen transport and for numerous enzymatic reactions. See the FAQ below on iron and clearing protocols — this is worth reading before you start.

Manganese, Chromium, Boron & More
Gluconate and vegetable culture forms

The full trace spectrum. Manganese participates alongside copper and zinc in superoxide dismutase activity; the remaining trace elements round out the mineral base supporting enzymatic and metabolic function.

Superoxide Dismutase & Catalase
From vegetable culture

Antioxidant enzymes delivered alongside the minerals rather than separately. The vegetable cultures are dehydrated at low temperature specifically to preserve these associated enzyme factors.

Betaine Hydrochloride
Small amount, for absorption

Included to facilitate mineral absorption. Minerals require an acidic gastric environment to be absorbed well — which is why low stomach acid is one of the most common reasons mineral status stays low despite supplementation.

Drainage Prep protocol

2 tablets twice daily — four tablets per day, taken with meals — for the full 30 days of the drainage prep phase. This matches the label serving of four tablets daily, split across two doses for steadier absorption. At four tablets daily, a 120-tablet bottle covers the full 30-day course exactly.

Important — contains iron

Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of poisoning in children under 6. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately. If you have hemochromatosis, elevated ferritin, or a diagnosed iron-overload condition, speak with your practitioner before use.

Common questions

What to know before you start

Yes. Mineral Restore includes iron as ferrous gluconate, a chelated form. This matters for two reasons. First, iron-containing products carry a required warning: accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of poisoning in children under 6, so keep it out of reach of children. Second, if you have hemochromatosis, elevated ferritin, or any diagnosed iron-overload condition, speak with your practitioner before use. If you don't know your iron status, a ferritin test and full iron panel are worth running first.

Because minerals need an acidic gastric environment to be absorbed. Low stomach acid is one of the most common reasons mineral status stays low despite supplementation — the minerals go in but never make it across. Mineral Restore includes a small amount of Betaine HCl for exactly this reason, and it's also why Phase 1 addresses stomach acid and mineral status together rather than separately.

It's a multi-mineral, not a multivitamin — it doesn't supply the vitamin spectrum. Many people run it alongside a separate vitamin formula. In Phase 1, minerals are the priority because they're the rate-limiting cofactors for the pathways being supported.

Diet quality helps, but it doesn't fully address the picture. Low stomach acid, an inflamed gut lining, high phytate intake, sweat losses, and chronic stress all reduce what actually gets absorbed and retained. A clearing protocol then increases demand on top of whatever the baseline is.

They're antioxidant enzymes delivered alongside the minerals rather than as a separate product. The vegetable cultures the trace minerals are grown in are dehydrated at low temperature specifically to preserve these associated enzyme factors — the minerals arrive in the enzymatic context they occur in naturally.

Yes. Minerals are best taken with food, which is also when the rest of the Phase 1 products are dosed.
