Nutritional support for liver detoxification
Liver detoxification runs in two linked stages. The first converts compounds into reactive intermediates; the second attaches carrier molecules so they can safely leave. Liver Clear supports the second stage — the conjugation side, and the side that most often lags behind.
Every ingredient has a reason. Here's ours.
Phase 1 — Digestion, Motility & Drainage
Drainage is part of Phase 1 alongside digestion and motility. In liver detoxification, intermediate metabolites are formed via the addition of functional groups; conjugation by a variety of enzymes then renders the metabolite less harmful and more readily excretable. Efficient functioning of both stages is necessary for adequate removal. When the first stage is upregulated and conjugation is under-supported, reactive intermediates accumulate faster than they can be cleared.
An essential sulfur-containing amino acid. In the liver, methionine is converted to sulfate, which the liver uses to solubilize toxic chemicals and wastes. It is also the raw material from which the body manufactures taurine, a component of bile salts.
In the cell, NAC is used to produce the powerful cellular antioxidant glutathione, functioning in the delivery of cysteine to cells. Oral administration of NAC has been demonstrated to elevate glutathione levels in both plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.
A sulfur-containing compound produced in the liver, used by the body in the conversion of cholesterol to bile salts. Associated with protection of tissues from damage resulting from inflammatory reactions.
Functions in the maintenance of the internal cellular redox environment and as a critical component in cellular maintenance and repair. Has the capacity to directly quench free radicals and reactive oxygen species.
A sulfur-containing compound sometimes called the universal antioxidant for its ability to deactivate both fat- and water-soluble free radicals. It can also facilitate the blood-brain barrier.
A component of the liver enzyme sulfite oxidase, whose task is to destroy sulfite, and a cofactor for aldehyde oxidase. A diet high in refined or processed foods minimizes molybdenum intake and may create additional need for this trace mineral.
Copper and zinc are both structural components and participating cofactors of superoxide dismutase (CuZnSOD), which neutralizes the superoxide radicals formed as P450 enzymes break down toxins. Selenium intake correlates to the activity of the glutathione peroxidases.
Vitamins A, C and E serve as cofactors for Phase II enzymes. Vitamin C is a necessary component for the production of several P450 oxidases. The B vitamins support the enzymatic reactions both phases depend on, and choline participates in the synthesis of SAMe, which has hepatoprotective properties.
Milk thistle, lycium berry, cleavers, dandelion, burdock and red clover. Milk thistle has been demonstrated to enhance glucuronidation — a critical Phase II step that accounts for roughly a third of all drugs metabolized by Phase II enzymes.
Glandular support for the salivary glands, which serve to lubricate and bind, as well as to solubilize food.
Supplement Facts
†Daily Value not established. Other ingredients: capsule shell (gelatin and water). Gluten and dairy free. Contains bovine-derived ingredients — not vegetarian.
Drainage Prep protocol
2 capsules twice daily — four capsules per day, taken with meals — for the full 30 days of the drainage prep phase. The label serving is one capsule twice daily; this protocol runs at double that, as directed by a healthcare professional. At four capsules daily a 90-capsule bottle covers 22 days — a full 30-day course requires two bottles.
Phase 1 into Phase 2
Run throughout the 30-day drainage prep phase, then continue into the Phase 2 Microbiome Reset where ongoing conjugation support is indicated. Supporting conjugation before clearing begins is the primary lever for how well an antimicrobial protocol is tolerated. Not recommended for pregnant or lactating women.

What to know before you start
Different jobs. Liver Clear supports the biochemical pathways — the conjugation reactions that make compounds water-soluble and ready to leave. Liver Restore supports the liver tissue itself with Ayurvedic botanicals. Throughput versus structure. In the Drainage Prep phase they're used together, which is why both are in the bundle.
No. The formula includes raw bovine parotid tissue, and the capsule shell is gelatin-based. It is gluten and dairy free, but it is not a vegetarian or vegan product.
Supporting drainage and conjugation ahead of time is the most effective approach we've found for making a clearing protocol tolerable. It isn't a guarantee — die-off intensity varies with microbial load and individual detoxification capacity. This is also why the reset is introduced gradually rather than at full dose on day one.
Speak with your practitioner before use. Supporting hepatic clearance pathways can influence how medications are metabolized. This applies to any medication processed by the liver.
Yes, though it's designed to be sequenced. Conjugation support without open bile flow prepares waste for an exit that isn't open. Pair it with Bile Flow.
